Abstracts

I absolutely love the flooding effect you get from the strong pigment in Watercolour paints, it is magical to watch it happen and often it looks even better when dry. I use the technique in a lot in in the backgrounds of my illustrative work but I think the effect is so beautiful.

During lockdown, like most of you I got to know my local area very well restricted to lots of walks in the countryside. I decided to create a collection to reflect this and celebrate getting through lockdown. This collection proved very successful and I have nearly sold everything. I have therefore just created a new body of work entitled "Escape". At the moment everything in the world feels so heavy from the economy to the environment, so hopefully my art can bring a little bit of Solace and calm to your home.
